MAMFORCE Partnership

For Kaufland, the largest value derived from participating in the MAMFORCE certification process was that it offered an outside perspective on their internal processes and activities, and that this method collected feedback from employees across the company. For instance, the demographic data have shown that half of the working parents had children of a pre-school age, while the company had, up to that point and in their efforts to improve the work-life balance, focused mostly on employees who had recently become parents. On the strength of this finding, Kaufland has put in place more diverse and flexible working arrangements for their employees.

On the collaboration with the MAMFORCE team

In the retail business, there is little opportunity for offering our employees in stores or in logistics/distribution the option of working from home, or flexible working hours. However, we can offer some other benefits which have contributed to the development of our organizational culture, and to the satisfaction of our employees. We managed to learn everything there is to know about the latter through our collaboration with the MAMFORCE team, and through the certification process. We have learned how our activities are viewed by the employees, and which areas we need to work on more to improve the satisfaction of our colleagues further.
